about ann. >> reporter: ann collins is kevin's mother. ktvu spoke with her and said she's still numb about the disappearance and really doesn't know how to feel. the same can be said for neighbors and parents in the area. >> i can't imagine someone just taking me away or -- i work at a school or taking any of the kids. they are here one day and gone the next. >> reporter: investigators were here yesterday and throughout part of this morning after they received a lead that something may be at the home. preliminary findings only find what is described as animal bones but those bones continue to be examined. a lot has changed since kevin's disappearance. his school, st. agnes closed down three years after he went missing but the family and some neighbors say they still hold out hope he's alive. >> i just hope there's still some family members around that can get some kind of closure out of this. i mean that is all you can hope for at this point. very sad story. >> reporter: again, police say that the person that lives here currently is not considered a suspect. we were expecting some

young brothers were among the three people killed on highway 92 in foster city. ktvu's tara moriarty joins us with more on this tragic crash, the victims and the investigation. good morning, tara. >> reporter: good morning. three brothers from redwood city were in the car that flipped not far from where we're standing. they were 12 and 16 years old. now that third brother, who is 18 years old, is clinging to life. now, this all happened about ten minutes until 10:00 last night off highway 92. that time is important to remember because if you were driving in the eastbound direction near the foster city boulevard exit, the chp needs your help. officers are looking for witnesses because they still aren't sure exactly what caused the accident. initial reports say it was a hit and run. >> i don't know how many witnesses have called in but we do urge the public to call if anybody saw what happened. it will definitely assist us in the investigation. >> reporter: now, five people were inside that car. two pronounced dead at the scene. another died on the way to the hospital. it's not known h

oakland freeway saturday afternoon. ktvu alex savidge is in oakland with the video and the search for the drivers. alex. >> reporter: and this morning the chp is investigating this freeway side show. it happened right in the middle of 880 in this area of the freeway right next to the coliseum. and it was in the middle of the day only saturday. the dangerous stunt was captured on video. this is the video that was posted on youtube over the weekend. it shows several cars doing donuts right in the middle of the freeway. at the time traffic bus brought to a standstill. the video lasts less than two minutes until someone yell out five-o. warning that chp officers were on the way. everyone hops in their cars a and takes off. they were not able to catch the people involved in this stunt. other drivers that have scene the video are concerned. >> i would hope that whoever is responsible that highway patrol or whomever do what they need to do to make sure it doesn't happen again. >> reporter: the chp has tips which they hope will lead them to the drivers that shut down this freeway. i did t

people rushed to the hospital as we just got word that one of the passengers, they have died. ktvu alex savage is live for us, including the man hunt underway right now. alex? >> reporter: police at this point are looking for the driver of the suv, but i also want to tell you here that the sergeant on scene, they have confirmed toney a 19-year-old man was killed in this crash here. he was a passenger inside this stolen suv you're looking at right now. it was being chased this morning by chp officers. the suv was packed with eight people inside, coming down this hill when the driver lost control and slammed into a tree. here was the scene around 3:30 this morning here on the drive in oakland. paramedics transported six passengers with various injuries. one of them later died. the pursue all began when police tried topping this suv when the driver of the suv took off. chp officers picked up the pursuit on the freeway in oakland. it's unclear if alcohol was involved here, but the sergeant tells me that this suv was going dangerously fast. >> when you take these extreme measures to avoid on
